Rep. Barros and local company present $3,810 check to Gloria Gemma Foundation
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Jean Phillipe Barros, along with Pawtucket based company Joe Pereira Construction Inc., held a fundraiser on October 30 on behalf of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation. Representative Barros and employees of the construction company raised $3,810 for the foundation that supports breast cancer patients and research. Also in attendance were Rep. Carlos E. Tobon (D-Dist. 58, Pawtucket) and Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien.
“I would like to thank the employees of Joe Pereira Construction for their kind hearts and generous spirits toward this noble cause. They truly are shining examples of how local businesses and residents can give back to the community and I commend them whole-heartedly for their efforts,” said Representative Barros (D-Dist. 59, Pawtucket). “Since 2004, the Gloria Gemma Foundation has been a stalwart supporter to all those in Rhode Island affected by breast cancer and I thank their continuous efforts and urge everyone to support their mission.”
Joe Pereira Construction of Pawtucket presented $3,810 to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation from the proceeds of a recent fund-raiser.
