Carnevale, Almeida to lead Providence House delegation
STATE HOUSE – Rep. John M. Carnevale (D-Dist. 13, Providence, Johnston) and Rep. Joseph S. Almeida (D-Dist. 12, Providence) have been elected co-chairman the Providence House delegation.
The chairpersons of the delegation are elected by all 14 House members who represent parts of the capital city. Representative Carnevale has served as a co-chairman for five years. Representative Almeida replaces Rep. Anastasia P. Williams (D-Dist. 9, Providence), who served as co-chairwoman alongside Representative Carnevale last term.
The Providence delegation organizes to work with the city and other legislators for the passage of legislation that is beneficial to Providence.
