The Internship Program is open to students who are at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled in college, graduate school or law school. Students are required to be currently enrolled in an accredited institution and have a minimum 2.5 grade point average. The program accepts students who are RI residents attending an accredited in state or out of state institution or a non resident who is attending a RI accredited institution. All academic majors are accepted and student experience, academic background and educational goals are taken into consideration for placement.
Many colleges and universities grant credit for the internship experience. The amount of credit granted to each student differs based on school and hours of service. To find out if you are eligible for credit, please contact your campus advisor.
Upon completion of the internship, placement supervisors complete an Intern Assessment and all interns are required to complete a Summary of Experience Essay.
Internships run in the Fall and Spring semesters and during the Summer breaks. The Fall and Spring programs run 8-12 weeks, depending on academic requirements and placement needs. The Summer program runs 8 weeks.
**Please note that applications are accepted throughout the year and interviews are completed on a rolling basis. Please submit an application early in order to have greater placement selection.
Interviews are mandatory. In some cases, a phone (skype) interview will be scheduled.
